Everyone who reads this review, READ THE BOOK! The world events are
shaping up so quickly, we all need to be aware of what is going on in
the Middle East & the actions being taken there. Regardless of your
beliefs, READ THE BOOK! In the future, when all of these things take
place that Joel has mentioned that are recorded in the Bible, don't say
you weren't warned way ahead of time.

5 out of 5 stars Fascinating   June 15, 2007

I've read a previous fiction book of Joel Rosenberg but this one really got my attention. As events are unfolding in the Middle East, it's amazing how on target he really is. Reading in the newspapers about Putin, Iran, etc. takes on a new perspective. I'm a Christian and love to read my Bible. God truly is sovereign. I would highly recommend this book.

5 out of 5 stars I make known the end from the beginning   July 22, 2007

"I make known the end from the beginning,
from ancient times, what is still to come.
I say: My purpose will stand,
and I will do all that I please." Isaiah 46:10

Understanding the prophecies in the Bible has to be one of the most challenging subjects, one for which there are as many interpretations as there are translations of the Bible. Yet when we let the Bible translate itself and watch the events occurring in the world in light of what God has told us will happen, we gain a new appreciation for the depth and profound truth God has given us in the Bible!

This is where Joel Rosenberg's "Epicenter" takes us, right to the heart of Bible prophecy and current events. But he doesn't stop there, he has done the research that any good journalist would do and presents the facts as he sees them. The difference between Joel Rosenberg's view and many other journalists, is that he tells us that his lens is the Bible.

This book is a must read for any OPEN MINDED student of Bible prophecy, and anyone who reads about the events in our world, particularly the Middle East and Israel with a desire to see the much bigger picture than is presented in the news media. There is so much more to say, but I would just be repeating many of the positive comments and good information already presented.

5 out of 5 stars Thought Provoking   June 27, 2007

I have found Mr. Rosenberg's book extremely interesting and thought provoking. His frequent references to "the third lens of scripture" helps broaden the reader's viewpoints as they read this book. Many of the recent happenings in the Middle East mentioned in this book completely escaped my notice when they occurred, or perhaps were not covered by the major news reporting agencies. When all of this information is taken together, it presents a compelling case for understanding today's news from the Middle East and its possible implications for the future. I'd consider this a "must read" for anyone who accepts Holy Scripture as God's truth! The "end times" may be closer than many think.

Outstanding; This is not your grandfather's exposition of Bible prophecy! A much needed updating of "the old story" that we have all heard from childhood. Rosenberg brings new clarity and credibility to the Old Testament Prophets like no other author in my lifetime. This is not fiction, this is real history-in-process.
