full of lies and garbage April 6, 2007 Hanif (Detroit) 13 out of 87 found this review helpful
This book only serves the vested intrest of the bigoted and racist mind who already have streortyed negative images of Islam, muslim and the Holy Prophet. For instance, all these so called reviewers who have highly praised the author, fail to read the Holy Quran and get an idea of its peacefulness from teachings like being kind to parents, strangers, to charity to personal struggle for betterment in this life as for others. God save the world of this idiot and his blind followers.
Scary Distraction January 12, 2009 John C. Dolan 2 out of 42 found this review helpful
Why would people pay for a book scaring them about murky legends, when the American economy is collapsing right before their eyes? Because some scary stories are a welcome distraction, compared to scary reality.
More nonsense from the biblically illiterate. May 24, 2009 Catsmate 2 out of 46 found this review helpful
OK, first things first. The book of Revelation is nonsense, it refers to Xian persecution under the Romans centuries ago. It is not prophecy. Oh and 666 is not the number of the antichrist, it;s 616.
Secondly there is no such thing as prophecy, the bible doesn't predict the future. It's a redacted collection of bronze age Babylonian fairy tales that's suffered through centuries of censorship and improper translation (such as the whole "virgin birth" nonsense).
Thirdly Xianity is nonsense; there is no independent evidence of the existence of the Xian messiah (despite the best efforts of Xian apologists). Even if there was such a preacher in Roman Judea, which is possible, there is no evidence of the "son of god" bit. Not to mention the contradictions in the accounts of his putative life.
Anyway, on to this book. It's rubbish. Written by a Xian bigot who demonstrably knows damn all about other religions. I assume his "long-term involvement in interfaith dialogues" involved shouting at anyone who doesn't share is delusions.
Really in this day, why does anyone care about whose invisible sky daddy is better?
