King David is a proven person in history- google it... and if you don't have faith you will never believe anything God spoke.why would people leave notes on books they would never buy- this is my 3 rd copy. lesfeldick.org is a great King James teacher, for the bad reviewers . God says his word (KJAV) will be as foolishness to the unbelievers- God is always right.......

5 out of 5 stars Would buy again   October 14, 2009

This Bible was quite large, surprisingly big. If you have people that have trouble with their eyes, it would be a good one to have. I bought it to give to men in prison and I don't think they care about the size as long as they get one in their hands.

5 out of 5 stars NO MORE STRAINING EYES   January 12, 2010

With many books today, you need a magnifier even if you're 15 year old. One aspect about a Giant print Bible, no need to strain your eyes to read it.

The Bible, which is actually a compilation of books packed into one volume is the greatest book ever written and the best selling book of all time. According to The Guinness Book Of World Records, The Bible has been translated into over 1500 languages and over 6 billion copies have been printed. Not only is the Bible an inspiring spiritual guide, but it's also one of the most entertaining books ever written. It has action, adventure, drama, joy, horror, suspense, mystery, prophecy, romance, and history. The Bible is a great self help manual, can help you psychologically, can help end depression, give you self esteem, bring you happiness, inspire you, help you over come trouble, give you wisdom, give you victory, and make you fearless. These and much much more are what the Bible have to offer you. I own several different versions of the Bible, but the King James Version is one of my favorites. The Bible has changed my life, and it can do the same for you, and you can also learn how to receive eternal life. Just to give you an idea of some of the writings of the Bible, here are a few examples: 1- A man that bearth false witness against his neighbor is a maul, and a sword, and a sharp arrow.(excerpt from Proverbs 25:18) 2- And about the time of forty years suffered he their manners in the wilderness. And when he had destroyed seven nations in the land of Chanaan, he divided their land to them by lot. (excerpt from Acts 13:18,19) 3- But as it is written, eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him (excerpt from First Corinthians 2:9) 4- I Jesus have sent mine Angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, AND the bright and morning star. (excerpt from Revelation 22:16) Want to read a book that could bring a tear to your eye or make you jump for joy, this is the one ! There are, of course different versions of the Bible, many of which are written in a more modern language to help the reader better understand what is written. There are many mysteries in the Bible, so no one can really fully understand all of it, some things are not meant to be understood until later in the future. Still there are other Bibles written to help you better understand much of the text. If one of those bibles is what you would like to study or enjoy, let me recommend those such as published by Tyndale House Publishing, especially The Living Bible. I own 2 copies of The Living Bible. In closing ,let me say that if you want to read a book that is as entertaining as any you would find in a book store, The Bible is an excellent choice.

5 out of 5 stars Hope this Helps those who wonder Who IS God/Jesus/Holy Spirit of God   February 13, 2010

I saw this just now on a website called snapshotsofgod dot com/cellsoul dot htm.

"Sometimes it's hard to believe that God can actually be in touch with us as individuals, to hear our prayers. Even though I felt I my life had been touched and changed by God, I struggled with this concept. In a moment of prayer, as I was searching my own faith, I asked God how he could possibly be in touch with millions or billions of us at once. The small voice of insight came back to me immediately that said just this: "Think of your own body."

Now this certainly wasn't an exhaustive explanation, but I suddenly realized that my own body was made up of trillions of cells, each carrying out its own life and work for years. Each is somehow nourished and guided by me, without ever being aware of my role or existence. Much of the time, I exist without being consciously aware of what each of those cells is doing. Yet whenever the least one of those cells cries out to me, I respond to care for it. It could be that a grain of dust would scratch my eye, were I not there to cleanse it. It could be that a small rock in my shoe would slowly tear the cells in the sole of my foot, were I not there to remove it and save them. It could be that a sore muscle would be further damaged, were I not there to lift the burden from it and give it rest. No, it wasn't an exhaustive answer, but it was enough of an insight to see that if I could care for trillions of cells, God could very well care for billions of souls. It was just enough of an answer for me to continue in my faith.

This is just a very small example of how I believe God communicates with us. It also illustrates the need to know how to listen. This answer or "insight" may not hold any a special meaning for everyone, but when it happened to me, it seemed like it was coming from outside my own sphere of thoughts and understanding. It gave me only a limited understanding of God, but a great appreciation of Him and a great sense of insight and peace. It truly was all I needed to get past my momentary barrier to faith. Just as when your body cries out to you, or when a newborn baby cries for its mother, I think God reaches out to us most when we cry out to him, and are willing to listen and wait for his healing touch.

I cry out to God Most High, to God, who fulfills his purpose for me.
Psalms 57:2

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."
Words of Jesus in Matthew 11:28-29"

I think it explains it all. The marvel of God is that He MADE our bodies. I guess as one more living example of Him, the Living God, Living Holy Trinity God/Jesus/Holy Spirit of God or Holy Spirit of Truth.

The Bible was written as a Recording of the History of God and man. God spoke in His Three Forms and each individual who wrote down - recorded - a part of the Bible is, as Paul states, speaking guided by God in one of these Three Forms - God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ or Messiah, and God the Holy Spirit of Truth. No two people talk the same. It is not strange that Mark and Matthew are written differently. I am long winded, someone else is short and to the point. Luke compiled as a doctor the eyewitness accounts of Jesus Christ. So he was as thorough as his training made him in how he went about, guided by the Holy Spirit, to research and do his homework on Christ. Just some examples that I hope clears things up a bit for somebody. Written by an imperfect person.

Love,

Teryl
