More than I hoped for November 20, 2009 Kim Marble (Greensboro,NC) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This giant print Bible has not only surpassed my expectations, but it has made my time reading nothing short of pure joy.Everyone that has seen it asks where I got it., and I'm more than happy to tell them, including my pastor.
HOLY BIBLE February 7, 2010 E. J. Duff (N IRELAND) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I HAVE HAD MANY BIBLES SINCE MY CONVERSION, AND THIS BIBLE IS BY FAR THE BEST.THE PAGES ARE EASILY FLIPPED TO FIND BOOK, VERSE AND CHAPTER. IT'S NOT MUCH BIGGER THAN THE BIBLES THAT I HAVE HAD - BUT IS MUCH EASIER TO READ,MAY GOD BLESS ALL WHO PURCHASE THIS BOOK. IT'S A BOOK FOR LIFE.
I AM A BIT MYSTIFIED AS TO WHY I WAS ABLE TO SEND TO AMERICA AND OBTAIN THIS BOOK AT A CHEAPER PRICE(EVEN WITH POSTAGE) THAN SENDING TO ENGLAND.
good deal, giant font February 21, 2010 Eva P. in Venice (Venice, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This font is super giant and is great. It is KJV, so the English is a little rough, but if you know your bible from other versions, it's poetry. Also, it's softbound, and not too heavy. I really love it. It looks real nice on the shelf or lying there. It is not a study bible, but has a NT maps in back.
My publisher isn't on Amazon June 21, 2009 K. Burns (Atlanta, GA) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Ok- so I didn't read "this" particular publishing of the Bible. For whatever reason, one of the published versions of the Bible- the one that I've read cover-to-cover isn't on Amazon. So my review is about the subject rather than this actual publication.
I am just stoked to say that I have read the Bible from beginning to end. I had tried years ago, beginning with Genesis, but I got stuck somewhere in Leviticus and gave up. Then I decided I would read the New Testament first and back track to the Old. That made for a much easier read- fyi.
After reading the Bible, I have found that God makes a much better judge than I would. I have no patience for much of what God tolerated. If I were God, which thankfully I am not, people would have been smote completely and I would've started over from scratch. Smite, smite, smite.
An excellent read and one that I wish people would finish completely before criticizing. Context is important. And I can honestly say- that from the time I began reading to the time I finished reading- that I have become a much saner & friendlier creature to be around. A great cure for a rebellious heart.
Deut. 30:19- I think a great point made is that our time here is about choosing life and blessings over death and cursings.
