A huge help March 26, 2007 J. Barone (St. Simons Island, GA) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
This bible is great in the way that is lays out the bible for those that have a hard time understanding and following the bible. It is a great way to read and STUDY the bible on a daily basis. It is not a bible that you can bring to a bible study and flip from book to book and verse to verse. It is a bible that reads like a book and it is so much easier to follow since it takes place in chronological order.
Fresh Biblical Insights January 2, 2007 Cassandra L. Robinson (San Mateo, CA United States) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I just finished reading "The Daily Bible" cover to cover. This was a very enjoyable study of the Bible in chronological order. I have been studying the Bible regularly for close to 20 years, and this choronological study provided me with fresh insights. Just a few examples include actually reading the Psalms that David wrote along with what challenges David was facing in his life, and reading the letters that Paul wrote sprinkled in with the book of Acts provided me with a greater emotional connection with these spiritual leaders. The commentary in written in laymen terms and does not appear to have a denominational slant. I highly recommend The Daily Bible for anyone interested or in need of a little change in their Bible study - enjoyable for all levels of Bible scholars.
Revival! 275 of our small congregation commit to reading it January 19, 1999 psassoc@js-net.com (Lake Arrowhead, California) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This is a wonderful version which places the Bible in chronological order and gives summaries about your daily reading. Our small congregation has now committed (over 275 of them) to reading this daily and have "accountability partners" to share with weekly. It all began when our small home Bible study group began this commitment and word of mouth spread the blessings.... terrific!!
Excellent Spiritual Growth April 14, 2007 stgallag (North Carolina) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This is the best book for Spiritual Growth. I have shared this book with all of my friends and Sunday School class. Everyone loves it!
One Year Read-Through November 10, 1997 Mr. Ronald E. Miller (Tobyhanna, PA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This Bible is arranged chronologically, with sections of different Bible books put in the order that they happened. A narrative commentary ties the sections together. It is designed for a one year read through of the entire Bible. The modern New International Version is a good translation.
