Product Description
Practical instruction for living a confident life in a world filled with chaos and crisis. In the New York Times best-seller What in the World Is Going On? Dr. David Jeremiah summarized ten prophetic clues that are coming true in our own generation. In light of these chaotic events, how can we continue to live a life of commitment and confidence? Looking through the lens of the same verses that speak of Christ's return Dr. Jeremiah now points us to the habits we must establish that will form a pattern for living with certain hope in our uncertain times. They include how to stay: - Centered in Christ
- Committed to the Word
- Compassionate toward others
- Connected to the church
- Consistent in your walk
- Calm in your heart
- Certain of His coming
- Confident in your faith

A Must Read for everyone! September 27, 2009 Jennifer Sikora (Hopkinsville, KY) This is a great book if you are uncertain about what your future holds! I review for Thomas Nelson!
I can live with confidence October 2, 2009 www.sozintara.blogspot.com The condition of the world is that it's sick and getting worse. The condition of the Christian's world should continue to be calm and stable. Dr. David Jeremiah has written a book of hope for those wallowing in this chaotic world. After reading his book your spirit should breathe and be conditioned for this time and place we are in.
Dr. Jeremiah teaches us that there are ten things we should do in order to survive in this new world.
*Stay Calm
*Stay Compassionate
*Stay Constructive
*Stay Challenged
*Stay Connected
*Stay Centered
*Stay Confident
*Stay Consistent
*Stay Committed
*Stay Convinced
Dr. Jeremiah tells us that being asleep is the same as being unconscious, why aren't we awake to what's going on around us? Why aren't we praying more? Why aren't we reading the Word more and more?
I liked the scenarios he painted in the beginning of each chapter, to highlight problems, but each chapter concludes with hope. I went through and highlighted key points and scriptures he threw out(and there was plenty!)
Here's a little excerpt:
"Sad times are good times for realizing God's goodness."(Living Confident in a Chaotic World, pg. 28)
This book was well written and straight to the heart of what we need most- someone who is real and upfront about the problems and confusion of today, but offers the hope in God's Word.
Awake!
Practical tips for living at peace January 7, 2010 Melissa Turner (Senatobia, MS USA) Over the past couple of months, I've been reading Dr. David Jeremiah's book Living with Confidence in a Chaotic World. It's a very topical book, which references many of the dramatic events which took place over the past year.
It's easy to let our hearts be troubled when we see record unemployment; the collapse of the housing market, financial sector, and automotive industry; and people sneaking onto airplanes with explosives in their pants.
But that's just what Jesus commanded us not to do - and Dr. Jeremiah outlines several ideas for keeping our hearts and minds calm: stay calm, stay compassionate, stay constructive, stay consistent, and so on.
Ultimately, he says, the chaos in our world points to Jesus' second coming - but if our hearts are prepared, we have nothing to fear.
A Rude awakening January 11, 2010 Bill Pershing I continue to be very glad, and blessed to be a part of the blogger review team with Thomas Nelson Publishing. The biggest challenge I am having is managing to find time to read the books...I am working hard to get better at this. It will just take me a bit but in the end the pay-off will be great.
When the book Living with Confidence in a Chaotic World by Dr. David Jeremiah arrived I was less than stoked. To be honest I was dreading reading this book. Dr. Jeremiah and Tim Lahaye were two of the most boring speakers I had heard in a while. I had pretty much written the book off as a bad read based on past associations.
I was rudely awakened as a result of this error.
I was absolutely floored by this book! What I loved about this book was the conversational yet pastoral tone that Dr. Jeremiah took. I felt like I was sitting on my front porch having a conversation with him and felt like I was interacting with him as he walked with me through the issue of fear and dealing with life and stress.
I unequivocally give my recommendation of this book both as a discipleship resource and a counseling tool for those that work with people who are dealing with life stress and even if they just have wild kids.
Amazing February 10, 2010 Donna Machado (Seattle, WA) In Dr. David Jeremiah's book, what in the world is going on, he shared about what is really going on in the world. It was the hard to digest meat and potatoes of our current world conditions. In this follow up teaching, Dr. Jeremiah shares why in these difficult times we can know confidence because of Gods promises to us in His word.
Dr. Jeremiah is an awesome man of God, he writes in such an inspiring manner that you do come to believe that we will be OK by placing our trust in the almighty God.
