5 out of 5 stars HEAVEN Touchpoints   September 28, 2008

Touchpoints is a wonderful condensed version of the HEAVEN book. It is great to give as a gift ...especially to those that are not able to read the larger book. It also gives quick answers to frequently asked questions.

5 out of 5 stars Very Interesting Read   February 9, 2009

This book is a condensed version of the main book. It is not that extra in-depth resource but it is great for;

1. Answering the fAQs regarding Heaven, as Alcorn shows you Scriptures to back up his answers
.
2. Making Heaven more real and very desirable as some are afraid they will be bored , others fear the unknown, well now you KNOW and can take joy / comfort in Heaven and in that knowledge.

3. Answering kids questions and having Bible references for the answers.

4. Alcorn focuses on areas almost all of us forget about....very interesting..I won't spoil it for you.....but you will be intrigued.

Now I do realise some will take issue with some answers, but that is not a bad thing as it causes you to search the Scriptures and see for yourself in order to make your own decision.

For the most part, Alcorn is sound.

You will enjoy this book and use it...maybe in a SS class or Bible study.

I found it well worth the price!!! It is an encouraging, thought filled book based on Scripture,

Very interesting book. My husband is using the book to teach a small group class at church. Everyone is real interested in the book on Heaven. Great literature and very bibicial. The class has gotten larger each Sunday. Thank you for writing such a book that is wonderful to share your thoughts and teaching with.

5 out of 5 stars A Taste of Heaven   August 11, 2009

This short book packs a big punch. It is inspiring and very well done.

It is condensed version of Randy Alcorn's phenomenol book Heaven. I consider 'Heaven' to be a must read for all Christians. This shorter volume is a good introduction to it and also a quick reference as it contains answers to a lot of questions by topic. Both are full of Scriptural references.

Mr. Alcorn has done a superb job with these two books as well as some of his others of presenting the topic of Heaven as it should be. Many preachers and others present such a warped (and unscriptural) view of Heaven as a boring place where one sits around listening to harp music and watching angels fly around. This picture is one that was likely originated in Hollywood; it certainly does not come from the Bible.

I encourage all Christians to buy and read 'Heaven' as well as Alcorn's terrific novel Deadline (Ollie Chandler, Book 1). Touchpoints:Heaven is very good, but it is just really a taste. Buy 'Heaven' and 'Deadline' and gain a Biblical view of eternity.
