| Customer Reviews: Takes the confusion out of the 4 Gospels August 21, 2006 Jim Danielson (Liberty, MO United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Most of us understand stories that are told in "calendar order", or as the events happened.
For many years the 4 Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John were hard for me to understand because the recorded events were not in a chronological order.
This book will help you understand Jesus in a entirely new way as you spend 30 days reading the Gospel accounts in "the way they happened".
In addition to the scripture accounts, compiler F. LaGard Smith also includes some background information before each series of events.
Life Changing March 5, 2007 D. Willis (Virginia) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I used this book devotionally and found it to be challeging and life changing. I've since purchased several copies for friends. Smith's commentary is brief and helpful in following the flow of events. The very best part is that Scripture remains central unlike some "devotional" works these that use a verse or two along with stories, illustrations, etc. I came came away from this book feeling like I truly spent 30 days with Jesus. I was pumped up!
Great Devotional / Bible class material February 21, 2006 William Haynes (Simpsonville, SC) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I used this book as a devotional when we were praying about entering the mission field. I find it's always great to go back "to the source" and this book can help you get refocused on Christ, His life, and what He wants for our lives. I just ordered 5 copies to use with our senior high school Bible class. We're meet twice a week and do 2 chapters a week. The kids seem to be loving the format as well and are challenged by the readings.
Good Devotional November 5, 2005 K. Jason Rains (Memphis, TN USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
It is what it says in the title, the gospels in chronological order. For a new christian, like myself, it is nice to have Jesus' ministry and life laid out in order. The devotions for each day are wonderful and eye opening
Good devotional book March 8, 2007 Michael R. Parham (Memphis, TN) This is a good book to use for your personal devotion time.
